Stress
The causes of stress are many, and the way different people manage stress in their lives is varied. We all experience stress at some time in our lives and some stress is essential for enhanced performance – too much stress though, or stress over a prolonged period can be detrimental to our physical and mental wellbeing.
Some behavioral and physical signs of stress can include :
- changes to sleep patterns, comfort eating, checking rituals, compulsive or impulsive behaviour, reduced work performance, poor time management, nervous tics, procrastination and phobias;
- you may feel angry, anxious, frightened, nervous or apprehensive, guilty, embarrassed or ashamed, jealous, helpless, increased worrying, withdrawal into daydreams, depressed, and unable to concentrate;
- headaches, back ache, fatigue/tiredness, palpitations, nausea, fainting & dizziness, indigestion, chest pains, dry mouth and clammy hands are also sensations that you might be experiencing if suffering with stress
We will work with you to identify the causes of your stress ... ... we can then help you to find and use the tools which will enable you to “manage” stressful situations effectively and, as a result, improve your overall sense of wellbeing.
